We were asked by this man called Garrick to save the day and bring him back some stolen gemstones. He was brutally attacked by enchanted wyverns on the road to the west of Ruined Oak and needed brave adventurers to help him find them.

Since we are brave adventurers, we agreed.

On our way west, on the bridge, we met a weird looking half-ogre called Gromm. Or maybe Grum, or Grub. It doesn’t matter because turns out that bastard was lying about something, or hiding something from us. I don’t know. He told us he saw two weird flying reptiles in the south, and they flew west. We continued west following the road, but not because of what that nobody Gromm said.

After spending the night at the outpost we reached the location of the attack. Whatever creature that carried the carriage was missing and the carriage was completely destructed. Using our amazing tracking skills, we found tracks leading south-west and followed them towards the mountains.

When we reached the mountains, four hungry looking wyverns with sharp teeth and strong tails tried to ambush us, but we were stronger and smarter than them! Their eyes were completely black, and we sensed enchantment magic coming from them. When we (amazingly) killed them, their eyes turned normal. So, if you see such creatures and want things to get back to normal – just kill them. Generally speaking, killing things in order to bring things back to normal is a useful tip to remember.

Sadly, two of the wyverns managed to escape (badly wounded though). We followed them through a narrow trail between the mountains. We arrived at a newly built bridge, and under it we detected abjuration magic. We didn’t find out what this magic does. Whatever.

The trail under the bridge lead to a cave. Someone spoke to us once we entered, but we didn’t understand what they were saying. I tried replying with a “yes” a couple of times, but it didn’t work – try a different word maybe?

Inside the cave was some sort of a magic circle with conjuration and abjuration magic. In the center of it was a giant stone structure with runes written on it. Inside the circle a cultist and 2 hellhounds waited for us. They all had black eyes as well. This circle was too small to be an impressive arena, but we managed to fight well enough anyways. When the cultist died, he was turned into a smoke creature, but we defeated it as well. The magical stone structure reflected magic from the cultist, as some sort of a defense. And as always, we were amazing and obviously won.

The stone structure had three words written on it, and we found the three gemstones Garrick was looking for. The words were: “Protect”, written in Primordial, “Order”, written in Infernal, and “Secure” written in Celestial. Once we removed the gemstones, the magic faded from the structure.

When we left the mountains, after successfully finishing our job, we saw the two wyverns up in the mountains. They followed two bigger creatures. Those cowards.

When we returned back to the bridge, Gromm was not there anymore. We saw footprints leading north.

Garrick was happy with our help and thanked us for our bravery.
