Ya know how disorienting it is to wake up in a different place from were ya fell asleep? One second, I’m sawing logs in our bed, next thing I know I’m at the Swollen Tooth Inn atop Bubbles with Buttercup sitting on my shoulder. Weirdest part, who dressed me?
Any case, Isaac, Phil, Jax, and Shiisthel was there so I figured something was up. That’s when this bizzaro Gnome showed up. “Jimmer”. I swear he didn’t look right, more like something… wrong, crammed into a gnome baggie three sizes too small. Anyway, he wanted us to go clear all the shit outta a outhouse. Yep. So, we get there and find the “Jimmer’s Magical Outhouse Emporium”. Isaac chatted up the shit shack, apparently Jim had been around there. Once inside, first room skeletons. Long short the bedrolls told us they starved to death. Phil used a big door knocker and got us in the second room. Isaac pulled up Elly, and in we went.

Jax, Phil, and Elly took front line as we charged into the first room. With a big old lava river down the middle, things really heated up as literal living fireballs rain down on us. Things looked in hand until a big old lava squid decided to join the dance floor. Jax called up his aura of divine obliteration snuffing out the fire as quickly as it spread. While Shiisthel gave the other half of them twisty lights to look at. Isaac preoccupied himself with eating as many souls as he could as Phil brought down a wrecking if biblical proportions on the kraken. Hum? Me? I was having a dance off with the squid. After the tango Phil pulled out the lava squid’s eye. For what reason? no clue. Next room up was a puzzle room. I used thaumaturgy to pop open the exit, but Phil was super insistent on solving the thing the way the creator’s intended. If the objective is to open the door, and I did, who cares about the fuddy duddys “intended solution”. Well it bought me a breather as Phil mucked about balancing coins and daggers. Yada yada next room, blanket of undulating worms with intermittent chomping mouths straining to catch something with their teeth. That was a whole lotta nope. We all just took a ride safely over top via Bubbles or Isaac’s magic rug.

After that Isaac chatted up some people behind the next door. They claimed that Old Jimmer hand trapped them in there and asked to be freed to take their revenge. I began pondering the moral and ethical questions, who were these people? Could they be trusted? What was their ultimate goal? As I thought about the situation of more than three seconds, Isaac had Elly kool aid girl though the door. Inside the room was the continuation of the lava river, from which a second Kraken came to play and it was Shiisthel’s turn to dance away its time. Few more fire balloons popped up, but the trapped grey (the color not my boyfriend) people (who I will now call Greeple) helped us fight off the creatures as the little Greeple’s ran to safety. (Humm maybe I’ll have a few little Grey’s of my own one day) They used ranged weapons like I have never seen before, but they also had swords like the one Krul had. Hilts are normal enough, but the whole blade looked to be made of light. They say their weapons can only be operated by “one’s with their blood”

After that, while Elly handled the worm thing form the pervious room, Isaac whipped up a demi plane to sneak out all the Greeple. Just incase Jimmer was keeping a watch on us. On the way out Shiisthel and Isaac played “splash the lava on everything” so that whole place was really merked up. Back at the Inn Shiistel spun a tale about to Himmer about “how we killed all of them, every single one of them. And not just the men, but the women and the children, too.” Even having been there I nearly believed her, scary stuff. Jimmer seamed pleased, and said there would be more jobs in the future the creepy little… thing. Well We gathered up some supplies and gave the Greeple a head start at their new life. They said not to worry about them as they are “a crafty people”

Note to Darcy: During the second fight one of the Greeple’s tube thing exploded. So, he dropped it and pulled out his light sword. Then after the battle all of them moved to the next room over to have a big conference, but I held back for a sec and snagged the remains of the light tube thing. I’ve included it in the package with the map of the location of the portal, rough mapping of the cavern itself, and the best drawing I could make of what the light tube looked like before it exploded.
