I was dreaming of a woman, charred and mutilated, clawing herself out of the burning remains of her home. Her limbs twisted at unreal angles with sickening snaps, the stench of burn hair and flesh assaulting my senses. The vertebra in her neck snapped and broke as her head turned to witness me, when a hand pulled on my tail. Panzer was looking for a scout to round out his search party, to find the entrance of a tomb mentioned in some tome.
He knew little of where the tomb was to be found, only that it rested east of a bandit camp. Which while technically that removed most of the island form the equation, it still left an absurd amount of land to prowl hunting for what could be a completely buried location. Still any excuse to stretch my long lustrous legs.
The first day was peaceful enough, though seven bulky lions thought to try and make us a midnight snack. Peri saw them on approach and quickly woke the team with her whistle, while Vicqarim sought to launch a preemptive spell to harry their approach. The lions quickly learned who the real queen of the savanna was, as I killed one in a single shot. From the back of the skull and out the eye my arrow pierced true and lethal as ever. A kill so clean that Johann was able to fashion a cloak from its pelt with some skilled craftsmanship. While I took some softer belly fur and lined my boots with them.

Second day of wandering brought us into a goblin ambush. Poor things made the mistake of striking the warlocks and subsequently exploding. Zak took a near lethal arrow to the chest and went down. After Johann tossed him a little ‘pick me up’, Zak stood back up and ripped the arrow form his chest. Then cleaved the goblin who dared in twain. The final goblin got reduced to radiant ash, with a snap of Peri’s fingers.
That night we came across a well of magic, circled in blue on the map, that had a verity of seemingly random effects when drank. I took a few samples for the more scholar orientated adventures back in WMC.

Third day of the search a pair of Gargoyles descended on our camp as two massive Ghoulish monstrosities came crashing from the woods. As the Gargoyles harassed our casters, the Ghouls let out ear-piercing wails with such intensity that it could leave you dazed and unable to even defend yourself. A swipe of their twisted claws would leave seeping wounds. Some first aid, or magical healing where effective at closing them up to stop the bleeding. The team spread out and coordinated our suite of skills wonderfully to overcome the undead assault.

Trip was peaceful up till the fifth night, a stampede of elk tore up the dirt so much it uncovered a second well. This one is marked by red on the map. When Panzers familiar Hooter drank form the well it, well, exploded. Samples taken and left with the scholars
After finding two magic wells, and finding out that everyone just assumed everyone else was looking for the tomb, thus no one was on the lookout for the tomb the whole time, we decided to call it a week and head home. There my real trial and decent into madness began as Isaac bombarded me with questions about the samples.
